Can you attach a “Saris-Guardian” bike rack to a 97 Grand Prix w/ semi flush rear spoiler?

I am trying to attach a bike rack to my car but every bike rack seems to need a truck or suv. I've looked around and the only rack that says it will fit my car is the "Saris Guardian" but it specifically says not to use it if the car comes with the "spoiler option". I don't know if the semi flush spoiler counts as the "spoiler option". If it does, has anyone been able to find a bike rack that works with the grand prix or similar car?

  1. You definitely want to go to your local bike shop. It’s worth it. You know, you can always install a 1 1/2″ trailer hitch on your car…..you’re only using it for a bike rack anyway. You have a lot more options then, and a hitch mounted rack is safer than those trunk mounted racks.
